Barely there.

One of the biggest trends seen on the catwalks at the Autumn / Winter 2017 New York and London fashion shows was ‘Baring it all’.  This translated across both fashion and beauty.  For fashion it resulted in sheer tops, and braless models.  And for beauty it was seen in the naked faces on models.  Fresh, flawless make up looks great on everyone. However, unfortunately for us natural make up can be one of the hardest make-up trends.  Apply to little and you still look half asleep and covered in spots.  Too much and you’ll look overdone and plasticky.

Expert tips for a natural face.

No make up

Perfect your skin.

The first step to fresh natural make-up is to make sure that you start with a great base.  Make up will need to blend in easily so wash with a thorough cleanser to exfoliate.

Next you will need to moisturise and even out your skin tone.  To do this use a tinted moisturising lotion.  I like La Mer - The Reparative Skin Tint with SPF 30 as it also contains sun protection.

Hide any flaws.

If you have any visible breakouts or bad circle under your eyes then your first step will be applying a concealer.  Look for one that is pigment rich which will hide any flaws without adding too much weight or product to your skin.  Apply powder on top if your skin is oily

I like Chanel Long Lasting Corrective Concealer as it has a small applicator which makes it perfect for applying small amounts of make up.

Cheeky, cheeky.

Next up you will want to pick a warm cream blush to give your skin a natural flush.  Depending on your skin tone both warm pinks and peaches work great.
