Hey there beautiful people.  How are we all doing on this fine February day?  Sorry I haven’t uploaded anything on my beauty and personal care blog.  I’ve had a fairly busy wintery period and feel like it’s the first time I’ve been able to pop my head up and catch some air.

After such a busy winter, and with the weather being colder and frostier than usual my skincare regime has taken a bit of a back seat.  And I hate to even think about all the days I’ve not cared about moisturising after a shower.  The chilly season whilst invigorating me seems to not co-operate well with my skin.  These last few months have played havoc with my pores, and my skin is dry and itchy and dull, dull, dull.

One of the things I’ve really needed is a pick me up February beauty day.  Full of DIY beauty treatments and home remedies.

To start off my pick me up February beauty day

The best way to prepare for a full all day at home beauty day is to prepare well in advance.  I like to grab a handful of really good friends and we all bring some ingredients, drinks and dress up.  This year I got us all matching headbands and these great cheap second hand tie dye yoga pants from https://www.easyprices.com/fashion/tie-dye-yoga-pants-sale.

Face Pack:

My favourite face pack is ridiculously easy to make and apply, and works wonders on dull skin.  Providing the moisture and nourishments that your skin desires. The Olive oil contains vitamins E and K and is naturally rich in antioxidants.  Whilst the Egg Yolk is rich in Vitamin A as well as lecithins.

Whisk together the olive oil and egg yolks until they make a smooth spreadable mixture.

Apply it to your face and neck.

Wait for roughly 20 minutes.

Wash off with warm water.

Body Scrub.

If like me you’re as thick as thieves with your friends then you’ll love doing this body scrub together.  Bring along your dressing gowns and slippers and after having the body scrub get your PJS on for a fun evening of movies and relaxing.

We all know about my love affair with exfoliators. There are many different types of homemade body scrubs which are perfect for winter, but I love the Wake Up Scrub which had coffee grounds in.  Perfect for a coffee addict like myself, and a great way to recycle coffee grounds.

Blend all the ingredients together.

Use of dry skin and gentle massage the scrub all over the body.

Pay special attention to any scaly patches and rough spots.  In particular heels, elbows, knees and backs of arms.

Rinse thoroughly.

Pat dry.

Finish the day off with some Sensationail Gel Manicures and Pedicures, and lots of bubbly.

For any at home DIY Spa treatments I highly recommend wearing comfortable, old clothing that you don’t mind getting ruined. For Pedicures add in some winter leg warmers from here; https://www.easyprices.com/fashion/winter-leg-warmers-cheap to keep your toes warm whilst beautifying your life.

Also make sure that you have a headband, I bought mine from a second hand classified ads website; www.easyprices.com
